Hugot Ni Juan is a guest-first quote and card studio app. You can browse, copy, save locally, and create cards without creating an account. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is written to match the app’s current behavior.

1. Data we process

1. App instance ID — A random UUID created on your device. Used so guest quote submissions and re-hugot reactions can be tracked for that install. This is separate from the Advertising ID.
2. Advertising / AdMob — The free tier shows Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, native, MREC, and optional rewarded). AdMob may use your Advertising ID and device/network signals for ad serving and measurement. We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required so you can manage consent; Settings may show an Ad consent entry when privacy options are required. Buying Hugot Pro (one-time in-app purchase) removes ads.
3. On-device library — Saved quotes, collections, studio drafts/presets (including which style you last chose for Share), personalization interests, Recap summaries, and preferences stay on your device by default. For You ranks quotes on device from your chosen interests and reshuffles each app session; bookmarks are not used for that ranking.
4. Custom photos — If you pick a photo for a card background via the system Photo Picker, it is used only on your device to render the card. We do not upload custom photos to our servers.
5. Exported cards — When you download or share a card, the image is written via Android MediaStore / the system share sheet.
6. Community submissions — If you submit a quote, we store the text, category, mood, author alias, and your app instance ID for moderation. Published quotes may appear in the public catalog.
7. Optional Google Sign-In — If you choose Sign in with Google, we receive a verified Google account identifier and basic profile fields to sync bookmarks, collections, studio style presets, and preferences across devices. Custom studio photos are still not uploaded.
8. Notifications — If you enable daily quote notifications, the app schedules them locally (and may sync your preferred time/moods when signed in). Android may ask for notification permission.
9. Purchases — If you buy Hugot Pro, Google Play processes the payment and purchase token. We use Play Billing to unlock Pro on this device / account.
10. Play In-App Review — The app may occasionally ask you to rate it using Google Play’s In-App Review API after engagement milestones. Google decides whether to show the dialog. We keep only local prompt timestamps/counts on device; we do not learn whether you submitted a review.

2. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by our hosting infrastructure; by Google for AdMob / UMP, Play Billing, Play In-App Review, authentication, and FCM (when used); and by share targets you pick. See Google’s ads and privacy documentation for AdMob.

3. Retention & deletion

• Your withdraw: From Saved → Submissions, you may delete a submission you made. That removes it from our servers (including a catalog quote that was published from it) and removes the matching copy from this device.
• Operator / CMS delete: Moderators may delete submissions and their published catalog quotes from our servers. We do not remotely wipe copies that already exist in offline caches on user devices; uninstalling the app removes local data.
• Guest submissions otherwise remain until moderated, published, rejected, withdrawn by you, or deleted by operators.
• Signed-in users may request account deletion; we delete the AppUser record and cascaded Hugot user data.

4. Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13.
